September 14 through November 2, 2026 we study what the Psalms tell us about what it means to be human, along with how we choose between being righteous and being wicked. On October 5 our guest scholar will be Dr. Jerome F. D. Creach, Robert C. Holland Professor of Old Testament at Pittsburgh Seminary.

Lunch and Learn is an in-person weekly discussion group that we coordinate at Salem Lutheran Church, 1145 DeKalb Avenue, Sycamore, Illinois, 60178. We meet most Thursdays for 60 to 75 minutes, starting at 11:30 AM Central Time.

All members help choose topics. Recently we have learned about diverse saints and heroes of the church, and various ways scholars have construed the “Historical Jesus.”

Dog Demonstrations
