Cap X Abbie Puppies All Placed

All of our Cap X Abbie pups have been placed, and we are thrilled that all of them will be sheepdogs.

One is going to a young woman who is experienced at dog training and agility competition, but will be brancing out into herding competitions. One will go to an open competitor and another to a pro-novice handler (whom we expect to see in open soon).

And, of course, we are keeping a male and female ourselves. Connie named the female Betty because she thought that would sound nice and percussive as we do our training. She is the smallest of the litter, but a fast learner and good listener. John named Hector after one of the favorite dogs of a famous Scottish shepherd and author of the late 18th and early 19th centuries, James Hogg.

About John

John is a retired pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America who has served congregations for over 40 years, including in rural, suburban, campus ministry and urban settings. His love of Border Collie sheepdogs has been fortified by his many friendships with shepherds all around the world. Nothing he has ever or will ever accomplish is as significant as the patience God, his wife and his friends have shown in putting up with his deficiencies.
