Unwind at Midsummer Night’s Fest, July 12

Join us on the farm for a relaxing evening letting God’s grace pour over us all.

For Midsummer’s Night Fest we sit on the deck in the cool of the evening and watch the sun set on the grazing ewes and lambs, listen to soothing music,  sip wine and share pleasant thoughts.

We would be so glad for you to accept our invitation to be a part of this celebration of the goodness of God’s creation. This year we will gather on Thursday, July 12 from 7:00 p.m. till we all melt away. If that night’s weather is just too horrible we will gather on July 19.

Again this year we will have local cheeses, veggies and wines to sample, and a great group of folk to get to know better. We will top the night off with a moment of prayer.

All we ask of you is to let us know you are coming so that we may make better plans. Leave a comment below or write us at heatherhopefarm@gmail.com to indicate how many people will be joining you. Go ahead-—invite your friends to join you. And feel free to bring your own favorite veggies for dipping as well.

Of course, we will also have non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy.  But please, because of the nature of the evening, this event is for adults only. Come, rain or shine. We hope and pray for a beautiful sunset, but we have plenty of room inside and it can be sweet to look out onto a gentle summer rain. Find directions to the farm on the “Directions” page of this web site, or please feel free to contact us if you have questions.

About John

John is a retired pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America who has served congregations for over 40 years, including in rural, suburban, campus ministry and urban settings. His love of Border Collie sheepdogs has been fortified by his many friendships with shepherds all around the world.
