Herding Dog Demo at Naper Settlement July 18

The good people at Naper Settlement in Naperville, Illinois, have invited us and our dogs back to do a demonstration of sheep herding on Sunday, July 18. We will post the times as soon as the details have been worked out.

Naper Settlement is a wonderful trip back to the 19th century in the middle of very modern Naperville. It is a museum villiage complete with shops, dwellings, a church and village greens. A Sunday outing is great fun for all ages. We will see you there on July 18! Meanwhile, you can learn more about the settlement at http://www.napersettlement.org/ or check out the information about our demonstration at http://www.napersettlement.org/calendar/Sheepherding.htm.

About John

John is a retired pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America who has served congregations for over 40 years, including in rural, suburban, campus ministry and urban settings. His love of Border Collie sheepdogs has been fortified by his many friendships with shepherds all around the world. Nothing he has ever or will ever accomplish is as significant as the patience God, his wife and his friends have shown in putting up with his deficiencies.
